Pizza lovers may get $1 pizza slices from a number of nearby restaurants at this event, which is being organised by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Manhattan’s Soho area.
Who is providing?
Manhattan’s Church of St. Anthony of Padua, located at 155 Sullivan St.
How it functions ?
There aren’t any entrance fees or tickets required. When you arrive with cash, you trade singles for desserts, drinks, and slices. You can stuff a pizza box full of pizza—ten slices maximum, one per establishment. Every exit is final.
When it begins ?
On Thursday, doors open at 6 p.m.
The reason behind 1 dollar pizza ?
You can eat cheese, pepperoni, buffalo, and Sicilian slices with the knowledge that your purchases will support charitable organisations. Every dollar raised goes toward supporting Pie it Forward, a nonprofit that provides pizza to underprivileged people at neighbourhood food pantries across the country. The nonprofit, Slice Out Hunger, was founded in 2018 with the conviction that everyone is valuable, deserving of human services, and a pizza lover.
